NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM IN EFFECT IN LAKE SUZY ESTATES

Two Neighborhood Watch signs greet all those who enter the confines of Lake Suzy Estates. One is posted on Courtly Manor next to the Community Bulletin Board and replaces the old sign. The other is posted on Ben Drive on the existing post holding the LSE Deed Restricted Community sign. The signs are to serve as a deterrent to any would-be criminal mischief. However, in the event any suspicious vehicles or criminal activity is sighted the sign displays the number to call: DeSoto Sheriff's Department: 743-6777

Per Sheriff Wise, the Neighborhood Watch Program is one of the most effective and least costly solutions to crime prevention. He emphasized that watch groups are not vigilante's and DO NOT assume the role of the Police. They only ask neighbors to be alert and observant and to report suspicious activity or crimes immediately to the Sheriff's office.

NEW SWIFTMUD WATER USAGE GUIDES

Southwest Florida Water Management announced the easing of water restrictions. DeSoto County residents are only allowed to water their lawns twice per week based on the last digit of their address. If your house number ends in an even number you may water on Thursday and/or Sunday before 10 AM or after 4 PM. If your house number ends in an odd number you may water on Wednesday and/or Satyrday before 10 AM or after 4 PM.

Handwatering, other than lawns, can be done on any day and at any time. There are no restrictions on fountains, car washing and pressure washing..

Here are a few easy steps to help you save water:

  • Water only on your watering day and only if your lawn needs it
  • Check faucets, sprinklers and spigots for leaks
  • Make aure you're watering the lawn, not the sidewalk or street

ORDER YOUR CUSTOM LAKE SUZY LICENSE PLATE

LSPOA has a limited supply of custom license plates. These are metal plates with a background of white and the logo in two colors (dark green and aqua blue). The cost of a license plate is only $15 and it will be personally delivered to each Lake Suzy resident ordering them. If you need to have the plate(s) mailed to you at a remote address there will be an additional shipping charge of $5.
